Life is Here : Fun Davao City
This is where I was born, live half of our life, left some 10 years and now, comes back for real. Yes, life is here in Davao City.
We have known Davao City as a peaceful city despite the location it lies. The impression given to Mindanao-ans (people living in Mindanao) are really strong. Some are afraid of us, others are aloof and unfriendly. But despite the characters that are adherent to us, the most beautiful places lies also within the island. One of it is Davao City, where fun and satisfaction meets.
Where is Davao City?
Davao City is in Mindanao. It is 608 miles away from Manila and is also about 1 hour and 45 minutes air travel from Manila. From airport to downtown is about 45 minutes land travel. It has an international airport that offers direct flights to international countries as well. Davaoenos as they call the people in this city are very loving, creative, smart and humble people.

Our loyalty to each of these homes is no comparison with how beautiful and modern other places might be. But it’s not bad to travel and see for yourself how other places affect lives and culture combination and exchange.

I have to admit I’d never heard of this place before! The durian statue is amusing though, I’d love to see that in person 😋
Didn’t realize Davao is so far from Manila. The city has a lot of malls. Are they all the same like in Bangkok?
“home is where your story begins.”
I agree to that completely..my story began in India, and I just love my native place. Davao city looks interesting and peaceful at the same time.
Never heard of this city– that is really cool. I think I would have been further lost if you didn’t mention Manila to be honest with you.

I think home is so meaningful. And finding beautiful things in our own home helps us to be happier people. Traveling does give joy but home is always where the heart is. Where that lands you know you are truly home. That being said, it looks like they have a lot of great things in Davao City.
I have never heard about Davao City before but it seems like a really nice place to visit.
This is my first time hearing of ‘davao city but I am so pleased that you listed all the different beach resorts because I am big fan of the beach. I live in rainy England so I am always craving a sunny escape xx
Thanks, Anna. And welcome to Davao City.
Oh and it is near Manilla which is cool! I have always wanted to go to Manilla it is so beautiful don’t you think? x
Is that jackfruit on Durian statue. I love jackfruit. We have jackfruit trees in our house here in India. and yes home is where heart is.
Jackfruit is different from Durian. Durian has a much stronger aroma yet really creamy when you taste it.
Sounds like a really interesting place, not somewhere I’ve actually heard of before x
Davao City is not really popular like the Boracay and the El Nido Palawan but quite really interesting to try it here.
This sounds like a diverse city with lots to do. I would love to stay at one of those beach resorts. That Durian statue totally made me laugh too!
Hope you can visit it here one day, Ania. Thanks.
I can’t wait to visit places like this, My list of places to visit there is growing!

I agree with you, no matter for how far I travel and how many places I see on my way I will always continue to love the place where I was born and where I was raised, simple but beautiful!
Looks like a good place to live in and visit. Education wise, I think it is great because there seems to be lot of universities too.
Sounds like a very inviting and peaceful place! I would love to travel abroad one day… Thank you for this suggestion!
